law firm website cost

Law firm website cost iseasier to compare onceevery plan states the same terms

Law firm website cost is hard to compare across providers because each one bundles things differently: some quote design only, others add hosting, revisions or content as separate line items later. Our plans state everything up front, from $137 a month, with a $797 build fee invoiced only after launch.

What it costs

  • Plans$137 a month
  • Build fee$797, after launch
  • Live in7 days
  • Revisions5 a month
  • Domain and hostingIncluded

Who this is for

Is this the right page for your firm?

This is for anyone trying to budget a law firm website honestly: what one costs up front and every month, what drives the price, and what hides in the small print elsewhere.

The two numbers that make up the cost

Every plan has a monthly fee and a one-time build fee. The monthly fee covers hosting, the domain, revisions and ongoing management for as long as the plan runs. The $797 build fee covers the initial site build and is invoiced only once the site is live and you have approved it, not at signup.

What usually gets left off a competitor's quote

Hosting, an SSL certificate, a domain renewal, and the cost of a developer for changes after launch are the line items most often missing from an initial quote. Ask directly what happens after the first bill: what does hosting cost, what does an extra page cost, what does an hour of a developer's time cost. Those answers, added up over a year, are the real cost.

Why the build fee is charged after launch, not before

Charging the build fee only once you have approved a live site removes the risk of paying upfront for a project that stalls or disappoints. It also means the incentive is aligned correctly: the fee is earned by delivering a finished, working site, not by starting one.

What changes the total cost from firm to firm

The plan you choose, mainly whether you want the AI Engine or the Content Engine on top of the base website, is what changes the monthly fee. The number of practice area and office pages does not change the price; every plan builds however many pages the firm actually needs.

Included

What is included

  • The site itself. Home, one page per practice area, attorney bios with admissions, office pages, about, contact and a consultation request form, all custom coded and written for your firm.
  • Fee and retainer estimator. An illustrative figure for a flat-fee matter, an hourly engagement at your published rate, or a retainer arrangement. Labeled as not a quote and not legal advice.
  • A free domain, in your name. One domain free for as long as the plan is active, registered in your firm's name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship. Already have one? We point it instead. Either way it stays yours.
  • Hosting, never an extra. Cloudflare's global network with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth, included in the monthly fee. No hosting bill, no SSL bill, no bandwidth overage.
  • Intake CRM connection. Consultation requests and fee estimates delivered into any CRM by API, Zapier or Make, with practice area and matter type attached.
  • A client portal, from day one. An account the day the site goes live. Request revisions, raise support tickets, send files and message the team. 5 revisions a month, each completed in 2 to 5 working days.

Not included

What is not included

  • Legal advice or legal review of your content. We are a website company, not a law firm; the firm approves what it publishes.
  • Case results, testimonials or ratings we have not been given. We never write or invent them.
  • Paid advertising management. We make the landing pages fast and relevant; running the ads is not part of the plans.
  • AI usage and carrier fees on Chambers, which are passed through at cost, billed monthly in arrears.
  • Revisions beyond 5 a month, which are a flat $20 each. Weekly detail updates never count against them.
  • A page builder or admin login for the firm. Changes are requested, not edited.

In the firm's words

What firms say about their law firm website cost

  • What I value about the consultation preparation guide is its restraint. People come to the first call prepared, and nobody has been asked to upload anything premature. The link now goes out with our reply to every new inquiry.

  • We took the wording about consultation preparation seriously, and I am glad we did. It is accurate about the process and careful not to promise what only a conversation can settle. We no longer open every call by correcting the website.

Questions about law firm website cost

What is a fair monthly cost for a law firm website?

That depends on what is included. Ours starts at $137 a month with hosting, a domain and revisions included, which is worth comparing against any quote that lists design fees only.

Why is there a separate build fee on top of the monthly fee?

The $797 build fee covers the work of the initial build. It is invoiced only after the site is live and you have approved it, so you are never paying it upfront for an unfinished project.

Does the cost go up if my firm has many practice areas?

No. The monthly fee is set by the plan you choose, not by how many practice area or office pages the site needs. Build whatever the firm actually handles.

Is there a cancellation fee if the cost does not work out?

No cancellation fee. Cancellation needs two business days notice before your next invoice date during business hours; the terms and refund policy explain the full details.

Do prices ever change after I sign up?

Your plan's pricing is set when you sign up. Any future pricing changes are communicated in advance and never applied retroactively to a term already invoiced.

How much does a law firm website cost?

With us, $137, $297 plus AI usage, or $747 a month, plus a $797 build fee invoiced only after launch. Hosting, domain, articles and upkeep are included.

What drives the cost of a law firm website?

Who writes the content, how many pages it needs, whether intake and AI answering are included, and who maintains it afterwards. A cheap build often moves those costs onto your own time.

Is AI usage expensive on Chambers?

It is billed at cost, monthly in arrears, with the breakdown on every invoice. It scales with how many calls and messages the agents handle, so there is no fixed figure to quote.
