Why there is a fee
The work thathappens once
The monthly plan pays for running the site: hosting, revisions, articles and support. The build fee pays for the work done a single time, before launch, to make the site in the first place.

Practice area pages, attorney bios with admissions, office pages and consultation terms, written for the firm rather than filled from a template.
Design and build
The site designed around the firm, built to open instantly on a phone, and held to the PageSpeed guarantee from the day it goes live.
Intake and estimator set-up
The consultation request form wired to your intake CRM or inbox, and the fee and retainer estimator configured for the way the firm bills.
Moving what already exists
Content worth keeping from an old site carried across, old addresses redirected, and the domain pointed or registered in the firm name.

The sequence
How payingworks
- Press the button for your planIt opens Stripe, the payment processor, on a secure page. The amount is the same whichever plan you are on; the button only records which plan the fee belongs to.
- Pay once by cardA single payment of $797. It is not a subscription and nothing is set up to charge again. Card details go to Stripe and never reach this site.
- The receipt arrives by emailStripe emails a receipt straight away, and the page you land on shows what was paid. Your monthly plan carries on exactly as it was.

Five questions about the build fee
Is this a subscription?
No. The build fee is one payment of $797, taken once. Nothing recurring is set up on this page. Your monthly plan is billed separately and is not changed by paying the build fee.
Do I need to pay this?
Only if we have told you a build fee is due, usually on an invoice or in an email. Plans started on or before 31 December 2026 have the build fee waived, so if your firm ordered in that period there is nothing to pay here. If you are not sure, email hello@getlawyerwebsite.com before paying.
Why is the amount the same on every plan?
Because the work it pays for is the same: writing the pages, designing and building the site, and connecting intake. What changes between plans is how much we carry after launch, and that is priced in the monthly fee, not here.
Is paying here safe?
Yes. The button opens Stripe’s own secure checkout page. Your card details are entered there and are never seen or stored by this site or by us. Stripe emails the receipt.
Can the build fee be refunded?
All sales are final, and that includes the build fee. The only refund we issue is for a duplicate or incorrect charge made by us: email us within 30 days with the receipt and, where the error is ours, the difference goes back to the original card. The refund policy sets this out in full.
